“MOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!” Ka yells. “Where are you?”

Ka continues walking down the hall. “It’s quite empty in here today. Where is everybody?” Ka continues to walk and turns down stairs.

The rooms, all empty. The kitchen, empty. “That’s strange.”

Ka walks outside into the courtyard. Rests a Red Carriage with Gold Embroidery. She walks up to the carriage. Her Horse, Platoon, is waiting to ride.

Ka climbs inside of the carriage. Cantu sits inside. “About time you’ve made it, my dear. Where have you been?”

“What? I’ve been looking all over for you!” Ka responds.

“Did you forget about your ceremony today?”

“What ceremony?”

“I see Your Father didn’t tell you! Come with me, dear! Today you celebrate emancipation!” says Cantu.

“You mean I’m Queen!?! YEEESSSSSS!!!!” responds Ka.

“Well…almost. Today you are being recognized with your ability to Free Will, the 1st Step before Your Crown.”

“Ughh!!! Can’t we just fast-forward to the Christening?”

“We have to do things by the book, sweetie. It’s only fair to all the effort everybody is putting in, For You.”

“Ehh…okay! But my dress better be Emerald!!”

“Haha! Okay, sweetie. I think we have an emerald dress option, For You.”

Cantu and Ka exit and walk down the hall. They walk quite some distance as they must get to the other side of the castle. Throughout the walk, Ka is able to get a sneak preview of the setup for her ceremony.

The moat dyed Red, the color of Blood. The tower dressed in tens of thousands of Black Roses. The bridge bedazzled in the finest of orange diamonds and red rubies.

They continue to walk through the castle and turn the corner to walk down the stairs. Each step, changed to marble flooring. As they walk down, Ka is able to see the yard. The grass cut to 2.2 inches, Ka’s favorite number.

“Umm…Ma? Where is everybody?” asks Ka.

“Getting ready to get you ready. The hour before any honorary dressing is very quiet as all hands will be on deck to please you.

“Ma! I’ll be right back! I forgot something in my chambers!” Ka says as she takes off dashing up the stairs.

Ka runs down the hall. As soon as Ka turns the corner she is grabbed and shoved into a dark room. A male with the face of a ram and two horns walks out illuminating a green essence.

“Ka, you belong to me now.” says the mysterious male. “Take her away!”

Three men dressed in black and gold carry Ka through the back door of the room. The door, a portal to an unknown realm, flashes a black flame. Disappear Ka and the four men.

Ka blinks slowly opening her eyes to see a sky colored with red and yellow flames. As Ka awakens she sees she is stuck to a chair, her hands and feet braced.

“Hello!? Hello?! Is anybody there? Where am I? What’s going on?” Ka says as she begins to panic. The frustration begins to anger Ka.

Ka tucks in her spine to shapeshift. Her powers do not work. Four walls surround Ka. The walls are covered in white drapery. The only way out…is up. Or at least Ka thought.

In appears a mystery male behind Ka dressed in a blue pantsuit. As the male turns around, his face shows that of an African jackal. Two horns begin to grow from his head.

“You’re exactly where you asked to be.” The mystery male’s deep voice says.

Ka tries to turn around but is unable to see the male. Believing the voice is inside of her head, Ka responds, “Daddy, I swear if this is you I”m setting ablaze to this oasis so large TriDa will be sucked in from the magnitude.”

“Haha! Despising our father just as we’ve taught we,” the voice responds.

“Wait…wait…wait! We? Our? DEVUS!!!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” Ka yells.

The following discussion engages between Devus and Ka.

Oh my dear, you did not think that you were to become Queen without US, now did you? 

Us? There is no US! We split for a reason!

There was no reason! You left us out of fear!

There was no fear! It’s my time to rule. You’ve had your shot and you royally screwed it for the both of us!

Screwed it? I did exactly what you would’ve done!

Ahhh!!!! Wrong answer! I would’ve had a cleanup solution. You completely blew up AmGe!

They plundered everything we built! Everything WE created. The oasis WE developed, nurtured, and thrived.

THEY were scared! They didn’t know where to go!

Hey! At least I gave them all the DI solution before! Why do absolutely NONE of you trust me! This is what I do! This is who I am! I am what you wanted me to be, all for you.

Devus’ body appears visible to Ka as he licks Ka’s left ear. “Tell Daddy, we’re doing this OUR way.”

Devus walks in front of Ka. “Now, how old are we down here? We’re getting emancipated so we can become formally recognized, right?”

“I’m not answering anything. If you wanted to speak to me, you come to me directly!” Ka says.

“You really do mistake me for a fool. Once you get formally recognized without me you’ll be able to control us. And our puppet I am not,” Devus responds.

“Had you waited then you would have-”

“Aht! Never wanna hear it! So, I introduce you to the New Kingdom. This will be your station for now. It is a complete simulation of RaKiDa so you may continue your royal painful debts. But until the Moon Rests Full in the Eie of the Just. Ice will keep us cool.”

The wall in front of Ka collapses to the floor as if struck by a wrecking ball. This reveals an ultimate paradise Kingdom. The moat resembling that of RaKiDa. The slinky train, fully operational. 

Ka knew exactly what this meant. Unless Haros shows up, Devus would win this game. Devus is stronger in this realm than Ka. As long as

Devus is present, Ka’s powers must be transmuted through Devus.

“This won’t last for long. You mustn’t have met my stalker, Fuschia.”

“Is that wretched bird still chirping? Last time we met -”

In flies Fuschia from above plundering into Devus’ face. Devus falls to the floor. Fuschia flies on top of Ka and tries to loosen up the straps.

Devus looks up to see the ruckus. “Oh no you don’t you stupid little bird!” Devus swings out his right hand and brings it back in a summoning motion.

Ka’s chair moves closer to Devus causing Fuschia to lose grip.

Devus stands up to go after Fuschia. Ka sticks out her left foot, tripping Devus. Fuschia flies down and begins to pecker at Devus. Ka is able to finish loosening the strap on her left wrist.

Ka takes off the straps and walks over to Devus and Fuschia. She takes the chair and hits Devus with it. Devus disappears.

“Where’d he go?” asks Ka.

“Heck if I know! Now let’s go!” Fuschia says as they soar into the sky.

“Fuschia! My powers don’t work here! Devus is too strong!” yells Ka.

“Switch forms!”

“I can’t!”

“Not Ka! Devus!” 

“As much as me and this bird disagree. She really knows her roses. I’ve been so busy trying to be Ka when I can also become Devus!” Ka says to herself.

“Fuschia! You’re not a genius, but you’re super smart when it comes to fixing my problems!” says Ka.

Ka sits down in the chair. “Fuschia, come down! I need help.”

Fuschia flies down. “What’s up, rose?”

“Devus is still lurking in the shadows. He’s sniffing me out. I can’t see him. But I feel him everywhere. He’s here.”

“Well, if you change forms won’t you be able to see him.”

“That’s what I’m scared of. When I go to change forms, if he’s around I’ll suck him in. He knew this. This was his plan.” 

“Every plan has a pinkhole, my dear. Just ask your mother. There’s always a way.”

“So what’s your plan?”

“Oh, me? None! My little present since I wasn’t smart enough to watch the trial runs. Only you were present for the split. Think, Ka! Think!”

“Ahh…what to do, what to do?” Ka thinks to herself.

Backstory:

Devus and Ka are one in the same. The Same Spirit Split Into Two Souls. Devus became so strong that Mysterie had to come up with a plan to separate the two, otherwise Ka would become lost transmissions.

RaKiDa is not the first, second, nor last Kingdom to be created on Planet Harmone. The first was destroyed, the second, preserved, the third, unleashed. The First Kingdom was destroyed in the Tritan War. Ka was kidnapped by an infiltrated operative. 

To preserve the Queen, Devus was unleashed to ignite a cease-fire. This led to a string of mysterious disappearances by the other leaders involved in the war. A cease-fire occurred as the loss of commanders caused mass confusion.

This led to a Calling of Representatives. With Ka being the only true leader with known whereabouts, she was brought in by word of the cease-fire. Prior to Devus returning to Ka, he had one last surprise for the Commanders: Death.

Devus slaughtered all of the kidnapped commanders and delivered their heads to the meeting in a dumpster that mysteriously delivered itself to the room.

When the representatives saw the heads of their Commanders they immediately turned to Ka. “Take her!” Some yelled.

“I don’t think so!” Devus appears in front of Ka. “Hee-ya!” he grunts, stomping his right foot on the floor. The representatives fall to the floor. Devus returns to Ka, and they sprint out the room.
